A real Delhi few items move walkthrough
Take a single double-door fridge moving from a second-floor flat in one Delhi colony to a ground-floor flat a few kilometres away, with no lift at the pickup. On a dedicated mini tempo with basic wrap, a fair quote here usually lands around Rs 2,500 to Rs 4,000, where the stair carry, not the short drive, is most of the cost.
The line that surprises people is the minimum. The drive is barely fifteen minutes, but the mover still charges a floor rate for sending a tempo and a crew, and the two-floor carry adds labour on top. If you tried to move just a few cartons the same way, you would pay almost the same, which is why clubbing items or sharing a tempo is the real saving on a tiny load.
The cheaper route, if your date is flexible, is a shared part-load tempo that picks your fridge along with other small loads, or adding the fridge to a household move already booked. Photograph the fridge before it is wrapped, keep the warranty card with you, and for a slightly larger load compare the 1 BHK charges page to see when a full small-flat quote becomes better value.
